Contractor: Peck & Peck Excavating

Peck & Peck Excavating was brought in to handle full-site development for a new premier residential neighborhood in Post Falls, Idaho. The project involved clearing and grading over 40 acres of raw land, installing underground utilities, storm drainage systems, and preparing individual lot pads for home construction. From the first pass of the dozer to final grade, our crew delivered a finished subdivision ready for builders — on time and on budget.

The Challenges

Every large-scale subdivision comes with its share of surprises. This Post Falls project required careful coordination around existing tree lines and natural drainage corridors that the developer wanted preserved. Rocky subsurface conditions in the northeast corner of the site required additional excavation work and material hauling to achieve proper grade.

Tight scheduling windows — driven by the developer’s builder contracts — meant our equipment and crews had to stay ahead of a fast-moving timeline. We coordinated with utility companies, the City of Post Falls, and multiple subcontractors simultaneously to keep the project on track. The result: a finished, permit-ready neighborhood delivered without delays.
